Counterpoint, hosted by Scott Harris, is heard every Monday night on WPKN 89.5 FM, Bridgeport, CT between 8:00 – 9:30 pm ET. Webstreaming and audio archive at http://wpkn.org

1) Helen Benedict, Professor of Journalism at Columbia University, and Rabbi May of New Haven, CT, who serves on the Jewish Voice for Peace Rabbinical Council, discuss widespread student protests against Israel's US-supported war in Gaza that has killed more than 34,000 Palestinians, and the police raids and deceitful political attacks on students, claiming they are antisemitic and pro-terrorist.

2) Mike Elk, a reporter with Pay Day Report.com assesses the United Auto Workers union's successful organizing campaign at Volkswagen's plant in Tennessee, prospects for other victories at non-union plants across the south, examined in his recent article, "After Ten-Year Battle, a Younger Generation Leads the Way at Volkswagen."

3) Ryan Grim, The Intercept’s award-winning D.C. Bureau Chief is co-host of the show Counter Points, and is the author of several books, his latest titled, “The Squad: AOC and the Hope of a Political Revolution.” He'll talk about his recent article, "Cable News Viewers Have a Skewed Attitude Toward Gaza War, Survey Finds," about the power of disinformation in forming opinions durning this volatile time of Israel's bloody war in Gaza, student protests, and this November's presidential/ congressional election.

4) Joe Fine, a member of the New Haven, CT chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace talks about the campaign by a coalition of groups in New Haven urging the city's Board of Alders to pass a resolution in support of a ceasefire in Israel's war in Gaza. The proposed resolution calls for “the release of all hostages including Palestinians arbitrarily detained by Israel, the unrestricted entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza, the restoration of electricity, water, food, and medical supplies to Gaza, an end to the siege and blockade of Gaza, and respect for international law by all parties.”
